Technical Consultancy
Not sure which machine fits? We survey the site and decide together.
When you are not sure which machine will do the job
The most common mistake in platform selection is renting on working height alone. Even with the right height, the job cannot be done if the machine will not fit through the door, the floor will not carry it, or it cannot reach around an obstacle. Our technical consultancy exists to prevent exactly that, and it is free of charge.
What we look at on site
- Access analysis: from which direction, at what height and with how much horizontal outreach the work point is reached
- Ground: bearing capacity, gradient, gratings and manhole covers, work over mezzanines or basements
- Route: door width, ceiling height, lift dimensions, ramp gradient
- Power source: electric indoors, diesel on open and rough ground
- Obstacles: power lines, trees, eaves, columns and pipework
- Safety: fall arrest anchor points, area segregation, pedestrian and traffic management
What you get afterwards
After the survey we put the following in writing: the recommended machine class and why, a cheaper second option where one exists, an estimated duration, the preparation needed for delivery, and the safety points to watch. This document comes attached to your quote.
Situations we run into often
- Oversized machine: a 22 metre unit rented for a 16 metre job, adding cost and manoeuvring trouble.
- Wrong machine type: a scissor lift chosen where an obstacle sits in front of the work point and an articulated boom lift is needed for outreach.
- Ground overlooked: a car park slab that will not carry the machine, calling for a lighter class or load spreading plates.
- Door width forgotten: the machine cannot enter the building and a tracked spider lift is the only answer.
Requesting a survey
The site address and a short description of the job are enough. Often a few photographs are all we need to identify the right machine. Reach us through the quote form or on +90 533 344 66 11.
