Telehandlers
The lifting power of a forklift with the reach of a crane — places loads high and forward.
What a telehandler does
Telehandlers carry a load on forks at the end of an extending boom, both high and forward. A forklift lifts only vertically and must get close to the load; a telehandler can reach out and set the load beyond a wall or a trench.
Applications
- Lifting materials — brick, plasterboard, tiles — to upper floors on site
- Placing palletised loads at roof or scaffold level
- Moving bales and feed on farms
- Using buckets, hooks or work platforms by changing attachment
Note
Capacity drops markedly as the boom extends. Tell us the distance and height at which the load must be placed and we will identify the right class. Where a work platform attachment is used to lift people, separate safety rules apply — mention this when requesting a quote.
If you cannot see the size you need, describe the job on the quote form and we will work out the right model with you. Site survey is free.
